no shade in the shadow
Exhibition Curation | The Do Good Fund

As part of my Bachelor of Fine Arts program, I had the privilege of curating the exhibition no shade in the shadow at the Do Good Fund.

This opportunity allowed me to explore a diverse collection of artworks, honing my skills in curation and deepening my understanding of photography as a multifaceted storytelling medium.

Through this experience, I developed a keen attention to detail and learned to interpret various photographic styles. The process of crafting this exhibition was instrumental in my growth as a photographer and continues to influence my artistic journey. no shade in the shadow reflects the themes central to my personal work, including Christianity in the South, religious trauma, and purity culture.

The exhibition features a series of 15 images that narrate a progression: from the awakening of the individual, through self-realization and baptism, culminating in a closed door that symbolizes the conclusion of a significant chapter. This body of work encapsulates the complexities of my experiences and the narratives I aim to convey through my photography.
